Our editorial principles

Useful game coverage starts with clear language and honest boundaries.

Explain the experience

Articles focus on mechanics, controls, feedback, accessibility, and the ways a game can fit a player’s preferences. We avoid claims that entertainment guarantees health, educational, or cognitive benefits.

Keep examples in context

Typical session ranges are illustrative, not measured specifications for every release. Genre artwork is identified as illustration. Product-specific claims should be checked against the relevant release and platform.

Commercial transparency

This version of the site contains no paid placements, affiliate links, advertising integrations, or purchase links. Individual game reviews use developer and publisher materials to establish the core mechanics. Their conclusions are editorial interpretations, with no numerical ratings or claims of hands-on testing.

Keep the purpose clear

Coverage is limited to video game entertainment and design. Wagering and real-money gaming are outside the site’s scope.

How a useful guide is structured

A guide starts with the activity itself, explains how it looks and feels, then identifies the controls, challenge, and settings worth checking. The aim is to help a reader recognize a suitable experience rather than encourage a purchase through exaggerated claims.

Separate observation from inference

A visible checkpoint is a design feature. Saying that checkpoints may make retrying less frustrating is an interpretation of that feature. Claims about learning, wellbeing, or performance require stronger evidence than the existence of an entertaining mechanic.

Do not invent authority

General articles should not imply access to unpublished player statistics, testing laboratories, or a review team that is not documented. Numerical scores, awards, testimonials, and release information should only appear when their basis can be established.
